What the Program Offers
The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity Program 2026 provides full financial and academic support, ensuring participants can focus on growth, learning, and community impact.
During the Establishment Year (2026):
- A fully funded Master’s degree in Social Change Leadership at the University of Melbourne
- All costs covered, including tuition, accommodation, travel, cultural events, and program activities
- A living allowance to help cover day-to-day expenses

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the AFSE Program 2026, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, or a Pacific Island nation.
- Experience: Typically five to eight years of professional experience in community or social transformation (mid-career level, usually aged 25–65).
- Education: Hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience demonstrating leadership and innovation.
- Enrollment status: Must not be enrolled in any other academic program or awaiting assessment of a thesis as of January 2026.
- Other fellowships: Cannot be enrolled in another Atlantic Fellowship simultaneously.
- Language: Must demonstrate proficiency in English.
- Travel readiness: Must hold or be eligible for a valid passport and be available for approximately seven weeks of travel between Australia and New Zealand in 2026.
- Visa: Applicants from Pacific Island countries must be able to obtain an Australian student visa.
